List of Closed Roads During Pope Francis Visit in Ph, January 15, 2015

The MMDA has released the list of roads that will be completely or partially blocked off for the preparation of the arrival of Pope Francis in the Philippines on January 15, 2015.

So for commuters to avoid heavy traffic see below the list of roads that will be blocked off for the Papal Convoy .

Time and Date of Road Blocking or Closed Roads.



January 15, 2015
5PM

The roads to be either completely closed or partially blocked off are as follows:

Roxas Boulevard (Southbound)
Quirino Avenue (partial)
Taft Avenue, near the Papal Nunciature (partial)
Andrews Avenue across NAIA Terminal 3
Area across NAIA Terminal 4
Tambo near Roxas Boulevard exit (partial)

Most heavily affected roads are

Sales Road and NAIA Road
Ninoy Aquino Ave., Aurora Blvd., Osmeña Highway, SLEX, and EDSA
.
January 16, 2015
Pope visit in Malacanang and deliver the homily during the 11 AM mass at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila.

The following roads to avoid are:

Taft, Quiapo, and Espana; and surrounding areas.

5:30 PM
Pope visit families in a meeting at the Mall of Asia

EDSA – to be blocked, and all other modes of transportation to be staggered.

January 17, 2015

Pope Francis will head to Tacloban at 8:15 AM and will arrive there by 9:30.

These roads are possibly difficult to pass through

Picas-San Jose DZR Airport Road and San Jose Road

January 18, 2015 

Espana, Quiapo, Intramuros, and West Avenue, Quezon City, to be heavily laden with traffic.
So please be guided to avoid hassle in your business transactions and any other personal thing that you will be processing.
