Aprilia Santini Manganang is now the hot topic in the ongoing SEA Games 2015 in Singapore. It is because of the protest of the Philippine Volleyball Team about the gender of Aprilia Santini Manganang.
Aprilia Santini Manganang is an Indonesian Volleyball star player, she's 23 years old. According to coach Roger Gorayeb of Philippine Volleyball Team, Aprilia Santini is "very powerful, it’s like putting a male in the female division". Hence, He asked for a gender test of Aprilia Santini Manganang, the request has been filed already, it was submitted before their game today, Wednesday, June 10, 2011.
Though, coach Roger Gorayeb is very positive that they can outplay the Indonesian team and he said that "Whether she (Aprilia Santini Manganang) plays or not, it doesn’t matter because we will be playing our best here,".
The SEA Game committee of the Volleyball competition has not given their comment yet as well as the coach or the entire Volleyball Team of Indonesia regarding this matter.
So let's see if what will be the results of the Philippine Team protest against Aprilia Santini Manganang of Indonesia, if ever it's true then it's going to be the most controversial thing in the 2015 SEA Games.
