Highlights: Full Text Transcript of Philippine Presidential Debate 2016

The first leg of Presidential Debate took place in Capitol University, Cagayan de Oro, the event was very successful. It was attended by so many people particularly in CDO and of course there were millions of Netizen not just in Philippines but also abroad who followed the social media to get the latest updates about the Debate.

#PilipinasDebates2016 was a collaboration of GMA network and the Commission on Election (COMELEC).



The debate consist of 4 rounds wherein every candidate tackles main issues and concerns in Mindanao.

Some of the Highlights of the Debate was the issues on Political Dynasty, Eliminating Drugs, Agriculture Development, Poverty Reduction, Charter Change and Peace and Order in Mindanao.

Final statements of the Presidential Candidates:

Vice President Binay,  "the next President must be decisive".
Senator Santiago,  "the next President must be academically with high regards or at least with honor and good moral values".
Mayor Duterte was very consistent with his words "I will get rid of drugs and deliver peace and order within 3 to 6 months".
Secretary Mar Roxas, "Hindi ako mangangaba sa kinabukasan ng anak ko dahil sila ay nakapagral. Kung magkakasakit ang sino mang meyembero ng Pamilya ko di ako mangangamba kasi may gagamot sa kanila. Bakit ko gusto maging pangulo? Dahil ang tinatamasa na buhay ng Pamilya, gusto ko maranasan po ng mga Pilipino".
Senator Poe, "Di kailangan matagal ka sa posisyon para magkaroon ng pagbabago".
