Just a month ago the entire nation were shocked about the leaked or spreading of voters personal information online which are not supposed to be posted it’s all because someone hacked the Comelec website. The hacking incident rapidly spread online and has frightened the people because of the possibility that might be victimized of Identity thief.
Hence, the Comelec has seek out the help of NBI to search for the hackers and they didn’t failed because today, April 21, 2016 a person named Paul Biteng was arrested, NBI said that Mr. Biteng was one of the hackers who defaced the Comelec Website.
Biteng was arrested in an NBI operation at his home in Sampaloc, Manila.
Based on the initial information Paul Zulueta Biteng is 23 years old and a fresh graduate of Information Technology. A member of Anonymous Philippines, the group that claimed the recent hacking of the Comelec website. see his mugshot below.
Comelec chief Andres Bautista and NBI authorities met the suspect on Thursday morning and Bautista said the hacker admitted to defacing the Comelec website.
